When you are deciding on the purpose and audience you would have to decide on a genre that would bit the best for the topic. A genre is a literature that is characterized by various styles, contents, and forms. Writing must have a genre to target the best way to use the information.

In this course, we mainly focused on 4 various genres which are memo, Technical Description, Lab Report, and Engineering Proposal. Figure 1 showcases some of the requirements for different genres and how they should be formatted.
